I'm having this kind of ongoing obsession with burgundy nowadays. That and mustard yellow but I'm so happy that it's popping up everywhere on streetstyle blogs, editorials and collections alike. Especially love that glossy burgundy Alexander Wang did for his Fall 2012 collection. I'm just so into this shade, the last thing I bought were in fact two t-shirts of this colour!!!

This is the first time I'm trying out something by make-up label Korres, the Lip Butter Glaze in Jasmine is the most wonderful buttery nude ever. I have a hard time finding nude products that sit well with my skin tone so I think this is it! Very moisturizing so it gets double the points and I heartily recommend it!

Yesterday I ended up going to Itaewon and popping into Life Is Just A Cup Of Cake to try out a cupcake. I always try the Red Velvet (that is if they make that kind) when I find a new place and judge from there. You're probably thinking that I should probably rename this blog Fashion Cupcakes or something I know since I talk about them so much. I am a little too enthusiastic about making/eating them but seriously those little things are just a passion of mine.

So...cake thoughts.... for starters, the price is around 4,800 Korean Won (which is like 4.50-5 bucks??!) for a decidedly midget-sized cupcake. In my opinion it was too crumbly (I usually like mine extra moist) and I don't like to waste bread...however the cream cheese frosting was really good so a major save there. The cafe is literally tiny- if I step on my tippy-toes I can touch the ceiling and let me tell ya I'm a shorty. I think the cafe has somewhat of a cult following though, the lady behind me bought 28 to go and ended up forking over at least $120 and literally cleared the trays.

Anyhow, it's not bad so make sure to pop by if you're ever in Seoul.

I'm currently demolishing a huge hunk of Cadbury's milk chocolate as I write this. I asked a visiting friend from Australia to bring me the latest RUSSH and a bar since I was going through heavy and major withdrawals of each. Flicking through the latest Oct/Nov issue, I can literally feel the anticipation for a hot and heavy Oz summer on every page. Just glorious. I'm so jealous. Summer braids, beach & new skincare inspo are some of my fave spreads that I had to snap pictures above and share.
I also finally got around to test-driving the Anastasia Beverly Hills Salon Beauty express for brows and eyes kit in brown. It comes with a multitude of helpful stencils but unfortunately I couldn't find the perfect one for my face (guess it wasn't made for Asians, har har) so I just free-styled mine. If you are a bit of a brow maniac I definitely suggest it!

Here, make-up artist Siddhartha Bekers (cool name!) is wearing an absolutely stunning shade of NARS Pure Matte in Terre de Feu. It's literally perfect for her complexion and she's wearing the cutest key-earring ever.

I remember I was slightly besotted with those red tie-up Marc by Marc wedges a few seasons back. I still think they're rather cute...however, nowadays I'm more crazy about sporting red on my lips with a major RED LIPPIE than on my feet. Hope you have a smashing Friday night everyone! :)

I am a huge fan of make-up but the funny thing is is that most of the time I hardly wear any. The most I wear is when I go out on the weekends but even that entails only foundation, blush and a lippie. No eye make-up because everything just smudges (it certainly doesn't help that I have asian eyes) and I totally skip the mascara but I am quite obsessed with procuring the perfect eyebrow. A good brow does wonders to your facial features.

I have major brow envy when I see ladies with thick, lucious brows- think Megan Fox, Tallulah Morton, Camilla Belle. Many of my friends pluck their own, wax, go to the Benefit brow bar, grow out and do all sorts of things to obtain their perfect arch. I was plucking mine the other day and was just wondering, what do you do with your brows to keep them in tip-top shape?



p.s. Anastasia of Beverly Hills has partnered with The Confluence and they have contacted me to review their Beauty Express Brow Kit for brunettes so I can't wait to get my hands on it! Will definitely tell you how it goes.

Love this candy-themed beauty editorial featuring model Toni Garrn in colour combinations that I would not normally dream of walking out of the house in fear of being mistaken as a clown. However, I do have to say that nothing beats the good old grape or cranberry popsicle-induced purple/red lip stain. Pucker up!

So today is Buddha's birthday and a public holiday in Korea. I slept in this morning and it's still raining cats and dogs outside as I type this but for once I'm loving it because I don't have to step out...though my depleted fridge may eventually force me to visit the grocers.
My plans for the rest of the day: cooking a homemade meal (vege curry IF I end up going out), trying out this new hair pack I just got, painting my nails (in Essie's A-List), staring at my new baked eye colour in Violet Sky and thinking it reminds me of the planet Neptune.
...
...
oh, and homework.
Urgh.

argh. i admit that it's a little hard to post when one is in the middle of midterm exams. i'm a little distracted.
hopefully this weekend will ease up a little in regards to the weather/workload. hoping to break out that vivid pink lippie on saturday night! how cute does Rachel Bilson look in hers, it matches her so well!
