Pick of the Day

One thing that I just love about the cooler weather is wearing coats. I think they add a little something special to just about any outfit. This might also be why I own countless coats...I just can't get enough of them!

There is a new coat that I am lusting after. This adorable tulle coat from ASOS. I love the color...and I can't get enough of the tulle detail. It's just so pretty!

What do you think of this coat? Is it on your must-have list for the fall???

Opted to stay on the fence this year so I won't be dressing up tonight. Actually to tell you the truth I haven't dressed up for All Hallow's Eve since like the ninth grade. Hope you guys have a fun night!

After finding out that the Isabel Marant sweater that I want (look at post below) retails for about 500 dollars, I winced and preceded to scour the internet for something a little wallet-friendly. I finally found something similar for under 50 dollars and clicked over a slouchy bag (have been looking for a
hobo for aaaaages) at the same time except I chose mine in black. Will report back results soon.

I still really, really want/need this Marant striped sweater. How many times have I posted about this now, maybe TEN?!
I have heard rumours that it's much too thin though.
Are you guys getting ready for Halloween? My friend has this wild idea that she wants to dress up as an iPHONE4. She totally cracks me up! Luv her.

Lookin' Fab

No, I am not a country fan. But I do love Taylor Swift's sense of style. She always looks so pretty and feminine. This satin canary Dolce & Gabbana dress knocks it out of the park! I love the bright yellow and the red Mary-Janes. She's not afraid of color...or having some fun with her looks. And because of that I don't look at her as a country star...but a fashion maven! Bravo Taylor, bravo!!!

Photos of myself and my bodyparts
(apart from Shini's yellow Chloes and cappuccino) by Park&Cube

It's high time I showed the world my face. I've been blogging since 2007 and I've never really had the guts to post a mug shot. As to reasons, I've narrowed it down to camera issues but mostly because of....facial issues. Just kidding.
So finally a virtual wave from me to you! :)
These pictures were taken last March when Shini popped over during Seoul Fashion Week F/W 10/11. We meandered down the streets of MyeongDong and Shinchon on a sunny afternoon, taking sticker photos (sorry, we are sooooo Asian), scarfing down this particular waffle and getting to know each other. This was the first time I met a real-life blogger face-to-face and boy, was I EXCITED. (Shini has no idea). Anyways, I just have to mention that my hair looks really different now and that particular day I had to lug around a big FAT clutch because the strap of my handbag broke mid-shopping...
Hopefully I'll have more pictures of my outfits to share with you in the future. I think I'm ready to be intimate now.

I really like to look at editorials like this on days where I've stepped out and everybody seems to be wearing just black, black and........brown. I need a little visual excitement sometimes. I've finally got working internet at home, yay! Expect the usual posting from me considering that this week's schedule looks unnaturally bare.

Claudia Schiffer was recently seen out and about in London looking beyond chic in jeans. Lots of layers and great accessories are her secret to this amazing look that is perfect for fall. Beauty Buzz

Over the last few months my hair has looked terrible. I'll be the first to say it. I was born with very thick hair and lately it just looks thinner and weak and not pretty. I have heard a lot of positive things about Samy Fat Hair products and thought I'd give it a try. I had nothing to lose! So last weekend I picked up a bottle of the Samy Fat Hair "0" Calories Thickening Spray from my local CVS. I gotta say, the spray works MIRACLES! My hair feels healthy and thick. This spray has definitely earned a spot into my morning beauty routine.

Have you tried any of Samy Fat Hair products? Are there any other brands of thickening sprays that you love? Please feel free to share.

Guest Post---Cubicle Chic

I recently asked my blogger friends Meredith and Lindsay from Cubicle Chic about the looks they are loving for fall. They were kind enough to write up this guest post and share their amazing looks with us here at Snapshot Fashion. Thanks so much girls!

MEREDITH

When Diane asked us to do a post for Snapshot Fashion that was fall-inspired, I immediately thought of this dress. Its colors and pattern remind me of autumn foliage, possibly seen as a reflection in some body of water... in the mountains... while leaf peeping and drinking hot apple cider... ahhh how I love fall in New England! Because the dress is on the short side, leggings are an obvious choice to make the outfit appropriate for leaving the house. I have a love-hate relationship with leggings, though, because I often feel like some kind of trendy teenage girl when I wear them. So how to make the the outfit come across as more mature? Throw on a pleather jacket, and suddenly I felt like an adult! Worn with my Kelly & Katie sandals (sometimes it’s still just warm enough!), this outfit makes the transition from summer into fall.

Meredith’s Look:

Dress: Forever 21, $12
Jacket: Unknown brand and borrowed from a friend
Belt: came with $40 vintage dress
Shoes: Kelly & Katie, $35
Watch: Vintage, $10
Leggings: Gap

LINDSAY

This sweater is definitely a piece I wish I could take out more often. It’s cozy, but not as warm as a conventional sweater robe due to the large “knit” holes; because New Yorkers experience a shortened spring and autumn (when compared with summer and winter), the span of time I have to wear it is extremely limited. This past Columbus Day weekend proved to be the perfect fall weather, though, so I was stoked to take it for a spin. I always forget that it has a hood - one of the most fun things to wear in the fall! It also goes nicely with this top I bought at the start of the summer. The top was a great value because it goes great with jeans, looks stylish with piled-on jewelry and for it’s high comfort factor. The only thing I don’t like about it is how low it goes... once in a while, I have to adjust it to ensure my pretty underthings aren’t showing!

Lindsay’s Look:

Top: H&M, $25 (ish)
Jeans/Jeggings: AG, $85 (on sale)
Boots: Frye, $250 (so worth the investment)
Sweater: Unknown, can’t remember price (bought 4 years ago!)
