Stam's pad

I think I've seriously fallen in love with Jessica Stam's apartment. Definitely the sliding Moroccan doors leading to the bedroom and the mint velvet sofa did the trick. Swoooooooon!

Freezing on the Red Carpet
I was so surprised to hear that it's going to be a chilly evening tonight on the red carpet in Los Angeles. We're talking in the 40s people! My first thought was, what are the actresses going to be wearing to stay warm? Long sleeves, maybe? Or will they opt for a jacket or shawl of some sort? I personally know that if I were there I'd be wearing SOMETHING (anything) on my arms. I know that when my arms are cold it makes my entire body cold. I thought that these jackets would be totally wearable over a stunning Oscar gown and not distracting.
What do you think? What would you wear over a red carpet evening gown? Would you just wear long sleeves? Or would just suck it up, show your bare arms, and freeze for fashion?

Trend Block
The weather the other week totally spoiled me. I actually started to think that spring is here...but then the snow we got a few days later shook me back to reality. While I was thinking about warmer weather I started to daydream of pretty floral sundresses. Floral print dresses are the trend for spring. Actually, I don't think they EVER go out of style...so stocking up on a few is probably in your best interest because you'll be able to wear them for many seasons to come and still look amazingly hip. Here are my favorite floral frock picks for spring---
Which dresses listed above do you have to have? How do you feel about floral dresses? Is there another floral dress that you love that didn't make it on Snapshot Fashion's list? Please feel free to share!

Rebecca Minkoff Fall/Winter 2011 Collection
Source: Minkette
"Inspired by Charlotte Kemp Muhl, the collection embodies the urban gypsy, a juxtaposition of luxury and the bohemian girl. Unexpected mixed textures such as supple leather and rich tweeds are shown alongside fluid chiffon and subtle sequins. The idea of an eclectic style is highlighted by graceful strokes of painterly stripes and custom prints from Liberty that metamorphose into delicate lace and lush sweaters. "
I love, love, LOVE wearable collections like these. They're just soooooo pretty to look at, to touch, to wear. I love the jackets (especially the red one and oh, the biker!), the printed pants, red shorts and all the super cute shoes. Are we all enjoying the wonderful collections from NYFW so far?

*Fashionista Faceoff*
This week on our Fashionista Faceoff I am going up against Dana. Our theme this week is showing off our favorite work outfit appropriate for a fashion or artsy company. Got it? Let's check out our looks---
Dana wore a simple white top and black pants, but adds in a bold necklace and furry vest which makes the statement! Making this look go from simple to fabulous!
I wore one of my all time favorite dresses. This bold green mod frock is perfect for the work place. I pair it some funky tights and heels.

bohemian rose

Unfortunately I couldn't find any shots of Miss Rosie without her bf in the picture so this will just have to make do. I love her bohemian yet edgy style in general but what she's wearing above looks so comfy and just perfect for summer. I'm definitely on the lookout for an ankle-grazer sheer cardigan or a crochet vest. When I was in LA I saw a similar thing in an All Saints store but it was way too pricey. Maybe I will have better luck in a thrift store or something. Btw, nice shades Mr. Statham.
Edit: Something like this would be even better (from Quiksilver Holiday Collection 2011 via Quiksilver).

My Style
My favorite color is pink...but you wouldn't guess that from my wardrobe. I only own one or two pink items...but boy do I have a ridiculous amount of purple pieces (I also own a ton of black...but I blame that on living in NYC for quite a few years)! I just added another purple piece to my collection...this adorable purple studded skirt that I have been drooling over for months now. My hubby surprised me with it the other day...and I love it!
What color seems to take over your closet?
skirt- Brooklyn Industries
top- Old Navy
scarf- Candie's
tights- Urban Outfitters
boots- Steve Madden
