What They Should Be Wearing- Academy Awards
I don't know about you, but I am so excited for the Oscars tomorrow!!! Well, let me rephrase that...I'm sort of excited about the actual show (it's always SO LONG...) but the anticipation for the red carpet is killing me. I know there are sure to be some hits and misses when it comes to the gowns selected, so I thought I'd help the celebrities out with some fashion that I know would look fantastic on them. I'm excited to see if they pick my looks (haha!).

Academy Awards Red Carpet "Hangout"
Newsflash...the Oscars are NEXT SUNDAY!!! I'm so excited for the gowns, the celebrities, the jewels, and the hair styles. I just adore awards season, don't you?
In honor of the Academy Awards I'll be hosting another red carpet "hangout" on Google+. I am inviting all of my fellow fashion bloggers, favorite designers, and loyal readers to join me on Sunday, February 26th at 4pm eastern/1pm pacific time. We will all be watching E!'s coverage of the red carpet and talking about all the hits and misses at the awards. I have already sent out an evite to those that I think might be interested...but if I missed you please email me and I'll get you on the evite ASAP! You will need to have Google+ on your computer, a webcam, and the E! channel. Please make sure that you have Google+ downloaded before the chat (it only takes a few minutes). Space is limited, so if you need the evite please email me to let me know right away. I hope to see a bunch of you there on Sunday!

Lovely in Lilac
I have been dreaming about lilac dresses ever since I saw Mila Kunis in her fantastic Academy Awards gown on Sunday. This purple hue is so soft and beautiful, and the lace is so lovely. This dress is definitely my favorite look from the Oscars...and not just this year...but probably of all time!
I know that lilac shade is going to be a huge color for spring. I remember back in high school I had an adorable lilac suit (cropped jacket and mini skirt...very 1960's inspired) that I wore all the time. How I wish I still had it. Well, looks like I need to get a lilac outfit into my wardrobe. Here are some great lilac dresses that would look great in your closet (and mine).

Freezing on the Red Carpet
I was so surprised to hear that it's going to be a chilly evening tonight on the red carpet in Los Angeles. We're talking in the 40s people! My first thought was, what are the actresses going to be wearing to stay warm? Long sleeves, maybe? Or will they opt for a jacket or shawl of some sort? I personally know that if I were there I'd be wearing SOMETHING (anything) on my arms. I know that when my arms are cold it makes my entire body cold. I thought that these jackets would be totally wearable over a stunning Oscar gown and not distracting.
What do you think? What would you wear over a red carpet evening gown? Would you just wear long sleeves? Or would just suck it up, show your bare arms, and freeze for fashion?
