Oh my, time has flown by. I cannot believe that it is the last day of February already. I figured I should stop by MyeongDong to check out the newly opened 8 SECONDS store before schoolwork starts to bury me again like it usually does. So, 8 SECONDS is another SPA brand that newly launched in Korea and is Korean owned & made. The price range is more expensive than F21 and H&M but less pricey than Zara (Seoul-lites will know that Zara is obscenely overpriced here). I wasn't particularly impressed with the quality of the clothes and consider me a little disappointed for now but we'll see, maybe they'll have better things put into the store next season. Anyhow, this is the view from outside:
This is the basement floor with a cute rainbow arrangement of shoes and an interesting print-your-own t-shirt counter.
Didn't hold my interest long enough so I popped over to H&M next door. Daria says Hi:
Dang, that girl makes anything look good just like Kate Moss. These beige booties caught my eye:
You can tell pastels are in huge force this season or next?!
Then I crossed the street and made a pit stop at the Miu Miu store in LOTTE. Totally fawning over the cute clutches and wallets. I also saw the most gorgeous navy blue, suede stiletto pumps ever.
Miu Miu somehow makes me squeal like a girl. Hope you enjoyed my little day-trip!

I'm really not a tattoo person at all but for some reason I find that anchor printed t-shirts and tattoos are really cute. I think both Kate Moss and Sienna Miller have them tatts too, do they not?

Looking gorgeous of course!
It seems that February is always full of birthdays for me. Yesterday I went to my friend's birthday dinner where we all chowed on some really delicious Nepalese curry & chewy naan. Yummmmmm.
I start a new semester tomorrow! Gotta go get some sleep now.

What They Should Be Wearing- Academy Awards
I don't know about you, but I am so excited for the Oscars tomorrow!!! Well, let me rephrase that...I'm sort of excited about the actual show (it's always SO LONG...) but the anticipation for the red carpet is killing me. I know there are sure to be some hits and misses when it comes to the gowns selected, so I thought I'd help the celebrities out with some fashion that I know would look fantastic on them. I'm excited to see if they pick my looks (haha!).
Emma Stone- Armani Prive Spring 2012 Couture
Michelle Williams- Elie Saab Fall 2011 Couture
Natalie Portman- Monique Lhuillier Pre-Fall 2012
Penelope Cruz- Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2012
Angelina Jolie- Jason Wu Pre-Fall 2012
Cameron Diaz- Giambattista Valli Spring 2012 Couture
Octavia Spencer- Elie Saab Spring 2012 Couture
What do you hope your favorite actresses wear tomorrow? Can you tell that I'm hoping to see some color on that red carpet???

Malin Akerman as Silk Spectre II - Watchmen
Malin Åkerman as Laurie Juspeczyk / Silk Spectre II - Watchmen
Watchmen Movie: A complex, multi-layered mystery adventure, Watchmen is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the “Doomsday Clock” – which charts the USA’s tension with the Soviet Union – is permanently set at five minutes to midnight. When one of his former colleagues is murdered, the washed up but no less determined masked vigilante Rorschach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes. As he reconnects with his former crime-fighting legion – a ragtag group of retired superheroes, only one of whom has true powers – Rorschach glimpses a wide-ranging and disturbing conspiracy with links to their shared past and catastrophic consequences for the future. Their mission is to watch over humanity…but who is watching the watchmen?
Silk Spectre II - Watchmen Still
Malin Akerman as Silk Spectre II - Watchmen
Åkerman described her character as the psychology and the emotion of the film due to being the only woman among the men. The actress worked out and trained to fight for her portrayal of the crime fighter. Åkerman's latex costume and wig, which often stuck into the latex, provided little protection when performing stunts, and she often bruised herself during filming. In the film the surname Juspeczyk appears briefly on screen when Laurie wears Nite Owl's visor. The character prefers the name Juspeczyk, as Jupiter is just a surname that her mother went by during World War II so that people would not know of her Polish background.
Watchmen: Silk Spectre Bust
Watchmen: Silk Spectre Bust: This hand-painted, cold-cast porcelain bust of the movie's female superhero features a Doomsday Clock depicted on the back of the base. It measures approximately 7-inches tall x 3 1/2-inches wide x 3 3/4-inches long and is packaged in a 4-color box.
Watchmen: Silk Spectre Action Figure
Watchmen: Silk Spectre Action Figure: These excellently detailed characters from the movie are 6 1/4 to 6 3/4-inch tall action figures that feature exquisite sculpting, along with multiple points of articulation and presentation bases.

Would You Wear This?
Dakota Fanning showed up to the Proenza Schouler show wearing their design. I absolutely am in love with this print. It's so young, bold, and fun! But I can honestly say that I hate the length of this on Dakota. Too long...too straight...it just doesn't work. I would love to see this piece in a knee length (or just above the knee) A-line. Or maybe if it was just hemmed to the knee. I just think that it's too long on her and this frock just makes her look stumpy.
What are your thoughts? Would you wear this look?

leather goods

After some careful deliberation, I finally went and bought myself a pair of black, faux leather pants from H&M. Nothing flashy or PVC like Isabeli is wearing in no.1 but in a good, solid, matte. I was on the hunt for some ever since last year so I treated myself to an early birthday present the other day. Other plans involve reserving a table for an intimate dinner with friends on the 22nd. Nothing big but Thai's definitely on the menu.

Yesterday I saw The Grey starring Liam Neeson and for me, the film was strangely eerie. But man, oh man, Mr. Neeson has the best VOICE ever. I could spend hours listening to his beautiful voice.
